Biography

Dr Delyse Hutchinson is a Senior Research Fellow in the School of Psychology at Deakin University, a Visiting Research Fellow at the National Drug and Alcohol Research Centre at the University of New South Wales, and an Honorary Research Fellow at the Murdoch Childrens Research Institute and the University of Melbourne (Paediatrics), at the Royal Childrens Hospital.

Biography

Dr Raj Parige is an Addiction Medicine Physician and Clinical Director of Alcohol and Drug service at The Canberra Hospital. He is a fellow of RACP (FAChAM) and the American Society of Addiction Medicine (FASAM). His special interests are in pain and addiction, drug testing and substance use in pregnancy. Dr Tracy Soh is an Addiction Medicine Physician at The Canberra Hospital. She completed her Addiction Medicine fellowship in 2007, and also holds qualifications in general practice and pain management. Her special interests include the interface of pain and addiction, addiction issues in young people, and addiction issues in pregnancy.

Biography

Katherine Walsh is the team leader and senior clinician for the Older Wiser Lifestyles (OWL) Program at Peninsula Health. She brings 24 years of experience in the treatment of addiction disorders. In 2009, studies took her to the US and Canada to research best practice models designed specifically for the ageing population. She has co-produced a DVD called Older and Wiser, been published in the Australian Journal of Ageing and developed guidelines for health professionals regarding interventions for older Australians.
