Dr Jiang is a Research Fellow in the Centre for Alcohol Policy Research, School of Psychology and Public Health, La Trobe University. He obtained his Ph.D in Economics from Deakin University. He conducts quantitative and econometric analyses in relation to the harmful use of alcohol and other drugs, with particular interest on estimating impacts of policy interventions on consumer's alcohol use and alcohol related social and health issues; links between alcohol and tobacco consumption, non-communicable diseases and injuries.

Colin is an Associate Professor in the School of Public Health and Community Medicine at the University of New South Wales. He was a Sydney GP for 27 years with a special interest in smoking cessation and now works as a Tobacco Treatment Specialist, with a special interest in smokers with mental illness and drug and alcohol problems. Colin is a member of the committee that develops the RACGP national smoking cessation guidelines
