Tameaka Lakey and Alexandra Bell are passionate Health Promotion Officers at Ballarat Community Health in Western Victoria. With 20 years’ combined experience, they coordinate school-based health and wellbeing programs across the region, focusing on co-design with young people to create meaningful, locally driven initiatives that improve youth health outcomes.

She is a registered secondary school teacher with over 20 years’ experience in Health Promoting Schools. Her recent work focuses on the intersection of social determinants of health, educational outcomes and overall wellbeing.

Dr Reshma Nikam is a Sydney-based paediatrician who generously contributes her time to improve healthcare access for young people in rural communities. Her practice is grounded in trauma-informed, culturally responsive care, with a strong focus on equity and early intervention. Rebecca Kennedy is Head Teacher Wellbeing at Narromine High School, bringing expertise in educational leadership, student wellbeing, and systems redesign.
Together, they co-founded an embedded paediatric care model within a rural high school, integrating healthcare into students’ everyday environments. Their collaborative approach reduces barriers to access and creates seamless, student-centred pathways between health, education, and community services.

Dr Anita Moyes is a researcher in school nursing in Australia. She had an extensive nursing career working in schools and completed a PhD in school nursing in Western Australia. She is a Credentialled Mental Health Nurse and a Fellow of the Australian College of Children and Young People's Nursing.
