Thursday, August 7, 2025
1:15 PM - 2:15 PM

Details

Liver cancer is one of Australia’s fastest-growing cancer killers—yet hepatitis B, a major cause and the second most lethal carcinogen, remains largely overlooked in cancer control efforts. This dynamic session brings together experts from cancer, primary care, government, and multicultural health to explore how hepatitis B testing, treatment, and monitoring can be better integrated into chronic disease and cancer systems. Featuring global insights, policy discussion, and community perspectives, the panel will spotlight missed opportunities, challenge the status quo, and spark bold ideas to bridge the gap between hepatitis elimination and cancer prevention.
