The Hepatitis B Voices Australia (HBVA) Volunteer Awards recognises outstanding contributions from individuals and organisations who have demonstrated exceptional commitment to amplifying the voices of communities affected by hepatitis B through advocacy, community support and collaboration. These two-yearly awards highlight the invaluable efforts of volunteers in driving awareness, policy change, and support for communities affected by hepatitis B.
Award Categories
There are three award categories; an Individual Volunteer Award, Organisational Impact Award and Champion of Hepatitis B Award.
1. Individual Volunteer Award
This award honours an individual who has dedicated significant time and effort to HBVA as a volunteer to support hepatitis B awareness, advocacy, and community support. The recipient exemplifies dedication, leadership, and positive impact on communities affected by hepatitis B.
2. Organisational Impact Award
This award recognises an organisation, community group, or institution that has made a significant contribution to hepatitis B awareness, advocacy, and support through volunteer initiatives, partnerships, or community programs.
3. Champion of Hepatitis B Award
This award recognises an individual who has gone above and beyond in championing hepatitis B awareness, policy change, and community partnership. This person has demonstrated outstanding leadership and influence in advancing hepatitis B health outcomes.
Announcement
The first HBVA Awards will be launched and recipients announced at 15th Australasian Viral Hepatitis Conference in Melbourne, August 2025.
These awards honour individuals and organisations who make a meaningful impact in amplifying the voices of communities impacted by with hepatitis B.
