Biography

Stephen Bell, a social scientist at the Kirby Institute, conducts community-based research in partnership with young people and other marginalised populations in a variety of settings in Africa, Asia, Pacific-Asia and Australia using qualitative, participatory and ethnographic methods to explore sexual, reproductive and maternal health, and other public health issues.

Heather McCormack has worked as a health communications specialist within the STI and BBV sector for over ten years. Her interests include health literacy, meaningful peer involvement, and digital tools for health promotion and consumer engagement. She completed this work at Sydney Sexual Health Centre before moving to NSW STIPU.

Anthony is broadly interested in HIV/AIDS, sexual health, feminist and queer thinking, qualitative research methods, and medical anthropology/medical sociology.
