HIV Symposium: Can Australia be the first country to eliminate HIV transmission?
Tuesday, November 17, 2020 |
10:00 AM - 11:02 AM |
Overview
Australia’s National HIV Strategy has the overarching goal to virtually eliminate HIV transmission by 2022. Although we have seen recent successes in driving down diagnoses, there is still a long way to go and progress has not been made in all subpopulations at risk of HIV.
This Theme C symposium will explore what we know and what would be needed for Australia to become the first country to eliminate HIV transmission for all. The speakers will discuss populations, strategies, measurement of success, and how we compare to other countries.
