Dr Janet Towns is a sexual health and forensic physician who has just completed her Monash University PhD thesis, which focussed on syphilis transmission. She works at Melbourne Sexual Health Centre, where she is known as the "Syphilis Queen". She is currently enjoying not doing a PhD.
