Ms Mary Garcia is Co-Head of The Burnet Institute Global Health Diagnostics Laboratory and has worked on the development of diagnostics for resource constrained settings including Hepatitis A, HIV, ALT and syphilis rapid point-of care tests.

Anne is a PhD student at the University of Newcastle. She studied the "Interactions between Microorganisms, Hosts and Environment" during her Master at the University of Montpellier 2. During two interships, she investigated the use of probiotic bacteria (IFREMER of New Caledonia) and studied bacterial ecology (University of Auckland).

Dr Sally Sweeney is a clinician with expertise in sexual and reproductive health and combines practicing this area of medicine at Family Planning NSW with general practice work at Elermore Vale General Practice in Newcastle, NSW. Sally is a Medical Coordinator at Family Planning NSW.

Charlotte Gaydos, MS, MPH, DrPH,, is a Professor in the Department of Medicine, Infectious Disease Division, Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, President of the International Union Against Sexually Transmitted Infections (IUSTI), and member of the Johns Hopkins University Center for Global Health.

Litty Tan has over 10 years’ experience in medical research, and extensive expertise in molecular assay development for diagnostics. As the Director of Research and Development at SpeeDx, she responsible for research activities and coordinates product development. Litty obtained her PhD from the University of Cambridge in Biochemistry.

RH is working as an urologist in Japan. He has researched antimicrobial resistance of Mycoplasma genitalium by culturing of M. genitalium strains.

Emma Sweeney received her PhD in microbiology from Queensland University of Technology in 2015, studying Ureaplasma infections during pregnancy. Dr Sweeney is currently a postdoctoral research fellow at the University of Queensland. Her major research interests include STIs such as Mycoplasma genitalium, Treponema pallidum and the human Ureaplasma species.

Duygu Durukan is a PhD candidate and a final year medical student at Monash University. Her doctoral research focuses on new approaches to testing and treatment of sexually transmitted infections.

Sara is employed as a Research Assistant at The University of Queensland, School of Public Health focusing on HIV self-testing and STI point-of-care testing. She has a diverse background including sexual health and HIV nursing and working in Queensland Department of Health STI and HIV policy areas.

Dr. Trent is a pediatrician and Adolescent Medicine/Young Adult specialist on the faculty of the Johns Hopkins University Schools of Medicine, Nursing, and Public Health. She is an independent scientist whose research and clinical focus has been on reducing adolescent and young adult sexual and reproductive health disparities.

Dr. Sood works on innovation in diagnostics & has developed an in-house PCR & a DNA biosensor for gonorrhoea. Has a PATENT and 100 research papers & funding from DBT, ICMR & DHR. She established a National Network for surveillance of AMR for N. gonorrhoeae. A recipient of ICMR Award.
