Anne is a PhD student at the University of Newcastle. She studied the "Interactions between Microorganisms, Hosts and Environment" during her Master at the University of Montpellier 2. During two interships, she investigated the use of probiotic bacteria (IFREMER of New Caledonia) and studied bacterial ecology (University of Auckland).

Emma Sweeney received her PhD in microbiology from Queensland University of Technology in 2015, studying Ureaplasma infections during pregnancy. Dr Sweeney is currently a postdoctoral research fellow at the University of Queensland. Her major research interests include STIs such as Mycoplasma genitalium, Treponema pallidum and the human Ureaplasma species.
