This session will focus on how clinical and reference laboratories can contribute to the control of STIs. Learning objectives: To understand how different laboratory tests can be used in the prevention and control of STIs, including antimicrobial-resistant pathogens and To understand how laboratory data can be used to inform STI surveillance During the panel discussion panellists will explore: What is the role of the 21st century laboratory in reducing STIs? ; The role of PoC testing in controlling STIs; The pros and cons of NAAT testing for STIs and The ethics of using genomic data in tracking STIs
