Sally von Bibra has been a research nurse at The Burnet Institute for over 15 years. She has worked on projects looking at improving treatment and care for people living with HIV and she now coordinates the Hep C Treatment and Prevention study.

Dr. Thaung oversees the USAID HIV/AIDS Flagship project and the Equip Hepatitis C project in Myanmar. She has more than 15 years experience in Public Health project management. She holds a MPH Degree from National University of Singapore, and MBBS degrees from the from University of Medicine 2, Yangon, Myanmar.

Andrew Seaman is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Oregon Health & Sciences University. His is an educator, addiction medicine and hepatitis C researcher, and healthcare for the homeless clinician. His research centers on the intersection of hepatitis C and injection drug use and medication-assisted therapy for opioid use disorder.

Whitney Essex is the Hepatitis C Elimination Program coordinator for the Cherokee Nation Health Services. Mrs. Essex received her Masters of Science in nursing degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2011 and is board certified by the American Nurses’ Credentialing Center (ANCC).

Dr. Rosenthal is an infectious disease physician working for the DC Partnership for HIV/AIDS Progress Hepatitis Clinical Research Program. Her research focus is studying models of care to optimize treatment outcomes in PWID with substance use disorder and infectious diseases.

Leith is currently undertaking her PhD with the School of Public Health examining hepatitis C treatment among PWID. She has a background in psychology completing undergraduate and master’s degrees in sport and exercise psychology. She has worked on research projects across psychology, social science and public health disciplines.
