Kath’s current research focuses on young people’s practices of digital self-representation, and the role of user-generated media (including social networking platforms) in young people’s formal and informal sexual learning. Kath leads and ARC Linkage partnership with ACON and Family Planning NSW, investigating young people's perceptions of safety and risk on digital dating and hook-up apps.
