Deborah Bateson is the Medical Director of Family Planning NSW and Clinical Associate Professor at the Discipline of Obstetrics, Gynaecology ad Neonatology at the University of Sydney. Together with her colleagues from Family Planning Organisations across Australia, she is a tireless advocate for improving awareness and access to contraception, especially amongst the most marginalized populations.

Dr Mary Stewart works at Family Planning NSW as a clinic doctor and also in the research and education teams. Mary coordinates the National Certificate in Reproductive and Sexual Health and was one of the writers and medical editors of the new “Reproductive and Sexual Health Australian Clinical Practice Handbook” Mary qualified from the University of Sydney before working in the UK in Sexual Health, then Singapore in Public Health before returning to Australia and completing a Masters in Public Health from the University of NSW.” Mary’s special interests are Contraception, STIs, Unintended pregnancy, Cervical screening and Legal issues in Reproductive and Sexual Health.

Richelle is the Medical Director of SHQ, the Family Planning Association of Western Australia, and also a GP. She has worked in women’s and sexual health in Australia, Peru, Ireland and the UK. She also has two small children who keep her busy.

Dr Amy Moten is a general practitioner with a special interest in sexual and reproductive health. After working for Family Planning NT and in private practice in Darwin for many years , she returned to Adelaide where she is now the Co-ordinator: Medical Education for SHINE SA. In addition to her work as a medical educator, she is an experienced IUD and contraceptive implant inserter and trainer
