This session is a a joint symposia of the HIV&AIDS and Sexual Health Conferences to investigate and discuss key components of an inclusive trans and gender diverse clinical response to HIV and sexual health. The specialist panel is composed of experts who are trans, gender diverse and Sistergirl, as well as sexual health physicians each of whom bring experience, recommendations and specialist knowledge to trans and gender diverse people's engagement in the sexual health space. The session aims to fulfil the following learning objectives: ● Trans and gender diverse voices are elevated, centralised and honoured as an invisible but priority population in HIV and sexual health ● Attendees improve their understanding of the trans and gender diverse experience generally ● Attendees gain knowledge and skill in trans and gender diverse inclusive clinical HIV and sexual health care ● Key policy makers understand the call to action to appropriately and meaningfully include trans and gender diverse people in the HIV and sexual health sector and response

Biography

Stuart is a specialist sexual health physician on the Gold Coast. Interests include HIV medicine, PrEP for HIV, gender medicine, herpes infections, skin conditions affecting the genitals and sexually transmissible infections.

Mish is a Trans sex worker representative for Scarlet Alliance, Australian Sex Workers Association, as well as the administration manager and national training and assessment project coordinator. Mish also sits on the board for AFAO and was a founding member of Camp Out, an annual LGBTIQ youth camp.

Biography

Dr. Ayden Scheim is a Canadian Institutes of Health Research Postdoctoral Fellow in Global Public Health at the University of California San Diego. For almost 15 years, he has worked to enhance HIV prevention for transgender communities through epidemiologic and social scientific research, health promotion, program development, and advocacy.

Biography

Vincent is a specialist in sexual health medicine at Prahran Market Clinic in Melbourne. His clinical interests include HIV medicine, PrEP, sexual health and transgender medicine. When Vincent is not at the clinic, he works on his PhD at the Melbourne Sexual Health Centre. His research focusses on the epidemiology and prevention of HIV and sexually transmitted infections."
