Her areas of research include addiction, mental health, suicide and self-harm, and blood borne viruses, with special interest in adolescent health and risky behaviours.

Dr Samantha Colledge-Frisby is a Research Fellow at the National Drug Research Institute, and honorary Research Fellow at the Burnet Institute and the National Drug and Alcohol Research Centre. She completed her PhD on the epidemiology of clinical harms among people who inject drugs and her research has focused on reducing morbidity and understanding appropriate and effective prevention and harm reduction strategies for this population.
