GPIDN 2026 Abstract Submission Portal

Thank you for your interest in submitting an abstract for the Global Prisons Infectious Diseases Network Conference 2026 (GPIDN26), taking place at the Grand Plaza Hotel Ljubljana, Slovenia from Wednesday 30 September - Friday 2 October 2026. Optional prison site visits will be available on 2 October 2026. 

Abstract Submission Deadline: 11:59PM (CET) Thursday 23 April 2026.

GPIDN 2026 welcomes submissions of abstracts presenting original contributions to the field of infectious diseases in custodial settings. The Conference aims to enhance global health outcomes and improve the quality of life of people in prisons and other carceral settings, particularly those at risk of or living with infectious diseases.

Abstracts addressing infectious diseases in prisons, including HIV, viral hepatitis B and C (HBV, HCV), tuberculosis (TB), and sexually transmitted infections (STIs), are welcomed and strongly encouraged. Submissions focusing on health issues among people who use or inject drugs in prison settings are also encouraged.

Full details on the topics can be found in the GPIDN 2026 Abstract Guidelines. Please ensure these are read thoroughly and the correct template is used as per below:

Research-Based Presentations: Presentations on original research findings, case studies, completed projects and theoretical analysis. Presentations should be well structured, rigorous and demonstrate novel contribution to knowledge, to theory and/or practice.
