Deadly Sex Congress 2026 - Delegate and Speaker Application Form

Welcome to the Delegate and Speaker Application Form for the Deadly Sex Congress 2026, taking place at Rydges South Bank Meanjin (Brisbane) from Wedesday 21 - Thursday 22 October 2026.

The theme for the 2026 Deadly Sex Congress is "Let's Talk About Sex: Creating safe sexual health communities"

Eligibility Criteria 

The eligibility criteria for attendance at the Deadly Sex Congress 2026 are as follows. 

Priority will be given to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Workers whose primary role is sexual health and/or Blood Borne Viruses (BBVs) service delivery in Queensland.

Other professions and roles who may be eligible include:

  • Generalist Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Workers, where sexual health and/or BBVs work forms part of their role
  • Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Practitioners, where sexual health and/or BBVs work forms part of their role
  • Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community worker, project, health promotion and/ or support officer in the following sectors (NGO):
    1. HIV/AIDS
    2. Viral Hepatitis
    3. Injecting Drug Use
    4. Sexual and Reproductive Health
    5. Sex work organisation
  • Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander nurse and/or midwife whose primary role is either sexual health services and programs or who can demonstrate that they perform sexual health/blood borne viruses duties as part of their work
  • Students and Trainees
    • Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students, trainees or cadets currently undertaking study or training
    • Demonstrated intention to work in sexual health and/or BBVs service delivery following completion of training

If you would like to present your experiences, projects, programs or stories at work within the sexual health industry, we encourage you attend as a presenter.

You will be notified by ASHM if your application has been accepted by the Deadly Sex Congress 2026 Committee.



Please note - speaker applications are only to present at the Congress. Speaker Only registration will not be approved to attend sessions outside of their allocated speaking slot.

Deadly Sex Congress Dinner

This dinner celebrates Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island Health Workers and Practitioners. This function is complimentary to all delegates. Please ensure you indicate if you will be attending to ensure all are catered for.
