Deadly Sex NSW - Delegate and Speaker Application Form

Welcome to the Delegate and Speaker Application Form for Deadly Sex NSW, taking place at AH&MRC Little Bay from Tuesday 17 - Wednesday 18 March 2026.

By completing the Application Form, you agree to the Terms & Conditions and Cancellation Policy, Code of Conduct, and the Secretariat's Privacy Policy.

The theme for Deadly Sex NSW is "Yarning about Sexual Health: Building Strength, Breaking Barriers."

Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for attendance at Deadly Sex NSW are as follows. 
 
In the following order, preference will be given to:  

  • An Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care Professional whose primary role is to deliver sexual health services and programs, based in NSW  
  • An Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care Professional who can demonstrate that they perform sexual health/ blood borne viruses duties as part of their generalist work, based in NSW
  • An Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander nurse and/or midwife whose primary role is either sexual health services and programs or who can demonstrate that they perform sexual health/blood borne viruses duties as part of their work
  • An Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community worker, project, health promotion and/ or support officer in the following sectors (NGO): 
    • HIV/AIDS
    • Viral Hepatitis
    • Injecting Drug Use
    • Sexual and Reproductive Health
    • An Aboriginal and or Torres Strait Islander person currently working in Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Health sector with imminent plans to move into Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Sexual Health/ Blood Borne Viruses service delivery i.e. within 12 months  
    • Sex work organisations

If you would like to present your experiences, projects, programs or stories at work within the sexual health industry, we encourage you attend as a presenter.

You will be notified by ASHM if your application has been accepted by the Deadly Sex NSW Committee.

Flight support is allocated to speakers based on set criteria determined by the Deadly Sex NSW Committee. Approved support will be provided up to a defined budgeted amount; any costs exceeding this cap may need to be covered by the delegate. To strengthen working relationships, a network details list will be made available after the event. This list will only be shared with delegates that attend and opt-in. Delegates who do not attend will not receive the contact listing.

Deadly Sex NSW Dinner

This dinner celebrates Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island Health Workers and Practitioners. This function is complimentary to all delegates. Please ensure you indicate if you will be attending to ensure all are catered for.

Insurance
It is strongly recommended that participants take out insurance to cover loss incurred in case of cancellation, medical expenses and damage to or loss of personal effects.

Indemnity 
Registered delegates are liable for any damages caused by the delegate to the conference venues, accommodations rooms, conference supplier equipment or conference organiser’s equipment. In registering for the conference the delegate agrees to indemnify the organiser for any damages caused by the delegate to any venue or equipment.
