Biography

Sara Newton is a Research Fellow at the University of Melbourne currently working in the adolescent health space on the RAd Health randomised controlled trial. Her key areas of research are in sexual and reproductive health, with a particular interest in abortion and contraception access.

Biography

Nadishani Fernando is a Clinical Psychologist at The Children’s Hospital at Westmead, NSW and supports the Complex Adolescent service and Consult-Liaison Psychiatry service. Nadishani is also a Winston Churchill Fellow, and completed her project in 2023, investigating international models of care in supporting young people with functional and somatic symptoms.

Rebecca is a Social Worker who has supported young people and adults in her roles as youth worker, case manager, group facilitator and alcohol and other drugs (AOD) counsellor. Now with Dovetail, she provides AOD education to professionals. Rebecca’s work has a strong focus on tobacco and novel nicotine products.

Fiona has post graduate qualifications in cancer nursing and completed a Master of Nurse Practitioner in 2022. Fiona has worked specifically in youth cancer care for over 10 years.

Jordan is a lived expereince representative who specialises in mental health advocacy and transitions of care. Jordan advocates for improving system navigation, reducing experiences of harm, and providing care with a human rights focus. She is currently studying a Bachelor of Public Health and works as a disability peer worker.
