Since 2004 Margery has worked as a clinical practice consultant – nursing at TQEH in the western suburbs of Adelaide; with a focus on hepatitis B and C.
She has seen the role change from a hospital based service to a community model involving GPs, nurse-led models of care with dedicated clinics in rural areas, clean needle programs, mental health and drug and alcohol centres.

Melanie Walker is the Chief Executive Officer of the Australian Injecting and Illicit Drug Users League (AIVL). She is also the President of Hepatitis ACT and a board member of the Australian Alcohol and other Drugs Council (AADC) and the National Centre for Clinical Research on Emerging Drugs (NCCRED).
