At the conclusion of this workshop every participant will have a practical understanding of at least one aspect of the sex work laws in Western Australia, be able to explain broadly what decriminalisation is and how it could be achieved, and have improved knowledge of the impact on Viral Hepatitis transmission.

She is currently involved in the campaign to decriminalise sex work in Western Australia, and efforts to stop Border Force raids on Asian migrant sex worker workplaces. As a hobby she follows the regulation of porn in Australia.

Mish Pony (they/them) is Chief Executive Officer of Scarlet Alliance, Australian Sex Workers Association, the national peak body representing sex workers and sex worker organisations across Australia. With over a decade of experience in advocacy and governance, Mish has held multiple roles within Scarlet Alliance, including as the organisation's Trans and Gender Diverse Representative and Chief Operations Officer, before stepping into the CEO role.
Mish's work centres on the intersection of sex worker rights, social justice and health equity, including advocacy on HIV and BBV prevention, decriminalisation, and the impacts of online content regulation on sex workers' access to health information and peer support. They have presented at conferences including the World Association for Sexual Health Congress (WAS2025) and ASHM's HIV & Sexual Reproductive Health Conference, and contribute regularly to public commentary through outlets such as Overland and Archer Magazine on sex work, censorship, and queer politics.
