He facilitates "Ask Us Anything" sessions that put lived experience at the centre of clinician training, and embeds stigma-reduction frameworks such as PozQoL into clinical education.

Esha Leyden is a Peer Harm Reduction Worker at QuIHN (Queensland Injectors Health Network.) And also, a AIVL (Australian Injecting and Illicit Drug Users League) Vise President Esha has worked in the drug sector for the past 13 years and has been a member of the drug-using community for the past 38 years. Esha has lived experience in a hepatitis C and treatment, Justice and custodial setting, and injecting drugs use, which allows her to understand the challenges and stigma/ Discrimination faced by the community and their ongoing needs. Esha has been a part of many forums, symposiums and committees and presenting at various state and national conferences on my lived experience and advocated for people who inject drugs. Esha was one of the main people and the Queensland Rep for the ‘IT’S YOUR RIGHT’ National peer health Campaign for Hepatitis C.

Pete has Lived Experience of HIV (40+yrs) and HCV. He has worked at Hepatitis WA for 7 years in various roles, including Volunteer Co-ordination, assisting in Health Promotion education, the NSP and is currently the HCV Peer Educator and a POCT operator in the Deen Clinic and in outreach.

Daz Winterbottom is a proud Yorta Yorta and Barapa Barapa man and an Aboriginal Peer Support Worker with NUAA, based at Nepean Hospital and working with Aboriginal communities across the Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District. Daz brings lived and living experience of drug use, mental health, and incarceration to his work. Rather than something to hide, he draws on that experience every day to meet people where they are, to build trust, and to walk alongside community members in a way that only genuine understanding allows. Over the past two years in the sector, he has become a respected voice in harm reduction, connecting mob to culturally safe support and helping to break down the stigma that too often keeps people from asking for help. Alongside his peer work, Daz is an Aboriginal artist. His creative practice is grounded in culture and storytelling, and it sits comfortably beside his work in health and community: both are about connection, healing, and keeping culture strong.

Zhenni (Jane) Jiang has a background in community development and is a Community Navigator with Hepatitis B Voices Australia (HBVA) for the “You Can’t Get Hep B Here” campaign. She supports community members to share their experiences, build meaningful connections and feel represented. Jane is passionate about reducing stigma and strengthening community voices.
