Lucy Clynes is the CEO of Hepatitis Australia - the peak community organisation to progress national action on issues of importance to people affected by hepatitis B and hepatitis C.
Lucy has extensive peak body governance experience and a track record of building strategic partnerships to achieve policy and funding outcomes. She was previously a practicing lawyer and held policy positions in both state and federal government, including serving as Deputy Chief of Staff to a government minister.

I am currently the Director of the Communicable Diseases Program Section (CDPS) at the Australian Government Department of Health and Aged Care. I manage projects and programs focusing on diverse communicable diseases, such as vector-borne illnesses including Japanese encephalitis, tuberculosis, poliovirus containment, viral hepatitis, Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease among others.

Jessica Michaels is the Deputy CEO at ASHM. Jessicas work at ASHM includes overseeing the implementation of HIV, sexual health, hepatitis C and hepatitis B workforce development, capacity building, resources, strategies and policies across Australia. Jessica has worked in the BBV and sexual health sector for over 15 years, managing a variety of government and non-government education, clinical and health promotion programs in Australia, South Africa, the UK, Papua New Guinea and Singapore.

Professor Benjamin Cowie is an infectious diseases physician and epidemiologist, with appointments at the Royal Melbourne Hospital and the Doherty Institute. He is a Professorial Fellow in the Department of Infectious Diseases, the University of Melbourne. In 2015, Ben was named the inaugural Director of the WHO Collaborating Centre for Viral Hepatitis at the Doherty Institute.

Sav Gollapally is a strategic and people-focused leader with a unique background spanning public health, digital marketing, and service design. As Programs Manager at Hepatitis ACT, he leads a multidisciplinary team to deliver health services, community outreach, and education programs that meet people where they are, especially those most often left out of the system.
With experience across public health, tech, and the nonprofit sector, Sav brings a rare mix of clinical knowledge, systems thinking, and practical know-how. He holds a Doctor of Pharmacy, a Master’s in Business Administration and Public Health, and additional qualifications in project management. He’s delivered digital-first health campaigns, and automated systems to streamline service delivery.
Sav is a big believer in the power of inclusive, human-centred care. He builds partnerships across sectors, uses data to drive decisions, and works with communities, not just for them. Whether it's developing a care model for hepatitis C in community health setting, or leading a team through change, he brings clarity, energy, and a clear sense of purpose to everything he does.

Dr Elena Jeffreys (She/Her) is the advocacy manager for Scarlet Alliance, Australian Sex Workers Association. A sex worker, injecting drug user, peer educator and advocate, Elena has spent more than three decades involved in community activism, organising and health promotion. Elena acquired Hep C in 1997 and was treated in 2016.
