I am a Noongar man born in Perth. Worked lived in Northam which is a country town in the wheat belt 1 hour and 30mins drive east out of Perth I started my working journey in health there where I worked in the AMS for 5 years doing mostly community engagement work, but I have found that I have a passion in clinical work and so I moved to Perth to work for Derbarl Yerrigan Heath Service where I have been since, I am always looking for opportunities to engage in my community I am currently on the comity for a charity called Leading Youth Forward (LYF), I have been in health as an Aboriginal Health Practitioner for 11 years now where I found a new passion for Sexual Health. I have started my new role this year in the sexual health team at Derbarl Yerrigan Health Service, my hope is to get this subject of health a normal topic to talk about with our clients when they come through the clinic.

Lana is passionate about delivering education and health promotion projects to increase health literacy and knowledge of viral hepatitis.

Aboriginal health helped him to open his heart, find meaning and purpose, as well as a sense of belonging.

Mielle is the linkage to care coordinator for the LINC-B project at the WHO Collaborating Centre for Viral Hepatitis. Mielle has a nursing background specialising in community and sexual health, with a particular focus on equity of access to healthcare following her the completion of her MPH. Mielle also recently joined the Integrated Hepatitis C Nursing Service team at the Royal Melbourne Hospital.

Adi Mondel is a Project Manager at ASHM. Adi works across both the hepatitis B and hepatitis C programs and is the Project Lead of ASHMs Beyond the C clinical auditing and case-finding program. Adi is passionate about ensuring primary-care providers are equipped with the skills and knowledge to provide care that is innovative, patient-centred, culturally responsive and safe for all people living with hepatitis B and hepatitis C.

Donna Garcia is a proud Torres Strait Islander woman that had been working for HepatitisWA for approximately 6 years. Beginning as volunteer who was seeking more understanding and closure around her sister’s overdose, Donna quickly development a passion for harm reduction and assisting in improving the lives and connections of her local community. Now employed as a front-line harm reduction working on HepatitisWA Needle and Syringe Program (NSP), Donna serves her community as the aboriginal liaison officer, assisting to connect vulnerable NSP clients to the clinical services they may not ordinarily feel comfortable accessing in an non aboriginal service.
