David Carter is a Scientia Associate Professor in the Faculty of Law & Justice at UNSW. He is an Australian lawyer and expert in the field of medical and health law, applying his legal expertise and research to understand law as a factor in the cause, distribution and prevention of disease and injury while advancing the fair treatment of those living with communicable disease.
David currently leads the Health+Law Research Partnership which aims to improve access to justice and quality of life for those living with Hepatitis B or HIV in Australia by removing legal barriers to testing and treatment. He serves as a board member of the HIV/AIDS Legal Centre and is Chair of the Ramsay Health Care Human Research Ethics Committee

Director and founder of Inno Community Development Organisation. Inno created the most influential hotline to fight the stigma and hepatitis against people living with hepatitis in China since 2010 and extended the impact in other countries in Asia since 2019. As a person living with hepatitis at the age of 2 because of the iatrogenic infection, Dee has been experiencing discrimination and self-stigma from day one when he had the blood test. He crawled out of the pain and started to make a change. He has been active and vocal for being the:

Sophia is a research officer in the Disease Elimination and Implementation Science Working Group at Burnet. Her background is in political science, social psychology, and public health.
She has extensive experience in qualitative and mixed-methods research and using social theory to address barriers to wellbeing among marginalised groups.

Amanda is an infectious diseases physician and blood borne viruses medical lead at Barwon Health, and NHMRC emerging leadership fellow at Burnet Institute, with adjunct appointments at Monash and Deakin Universities. Her areas of interest include viral hepatitis elimination, community-based models of care and healthcare service delivery for rural and regional Australia.

She is passionate about equity in healthcare and values the peer-based team model. Julie is currently also studying to become a Nurse Practitioner to provide more holistic and compassionate care.

Jane has been working with people who use drugs in various front line roles for more than twenty years. She currently coordinates the health promotion team and the DOPE project at Harm Reduction Victoria. She has a seat on the board of AIVL, the peak body for drug user organisations in Australia and INPUD, the International Network of People Who Use Drugs.
She is passionate about the health and human rights of people who use drugs and is a strong advocate against stigma and discrimination toward her community.
She is a huge dog lover who also happens to be dependent on cheesy reality television and heroin.

Mim is a nurse who focuses on screening and linking homeless, marginalised and incarcerated people to Hepatitis C care and cure with the Kombi Clinic. As well as leading fingerstick point-of-care testing campaigns throughout Queensland Corrections and a recent recipient of the Queensland Corrective Commissioner’s Award and Medal for Excellence, she gets to wear a fabulous Hawaiian shirt and drives around in a bright yellow Van called Ruby.
