Details
Doxy-PEP is increasingly being used as an STI-prevention strategy in Australia and globally, but guidance on its use is changing as evidence continues to emerge about Doxy-PEP’s effectiveness and safety.
Following a national roundtable in March, ASHM has developed a position statement on Doxy-PEP containing recommendations for clinicians and community. The statement has been developed in consultation with community representatives, clinicians, and experts in infectious diseases, public health, epidemiology and antimicrobial stewardship.
Join us for the launch of ASHM’s position statement on Doxy-PEP, with a panel discussion about what it means for STI prevention in Australia.
Moderators:
Vincent Cornelisse
Benjamin Riley, Policy and Public Affairs Manager, ASHM
Panellists:
Michael Traeger, Epidemiologist and Research Officer, Burnet Institute
Dash Heath Paynter, Deputy Chief Executive Officer, Health Equity Matters
Cherie Bennett, Medical Educator, ASHM
