Rachel Wotton is a sex worker, academic, consultant and educator. She has previously held positions with SWOP NSW, Scarlet Alliance – the Australian Sex Workers’ Association and Touching Base. The 2011 Australian documentary, Scarlet Road, featured her work with clients with disability, along with her TEDx Bunbury presentation and 2017 USYD Masters by Research . She is a Churchill Fellowship recipient and is currently finishing her PhD at Western Sydney University (WSU) focused on exploring the experiences of people with disability who access sex worker services, in Australia.

Nesrin Varol is a gynecological surgeon and Associate Professor at Sydney Medical School. Her research focuses on improving healthcare of women and girls with FGM in Australia and the role of men in FGM. Nesrin has been involved in establishing the Africa Coordinating Centre for abandonment of FGM in Nairobi, Kenya, in 2012.
