She holds a joint appointment with the Papua New Guinea Institute of Medical Research and the Kirby Institute UNSW.

Rugi Bah is a PhD candidate at the Kirby Institute, UNSW. Rugi's doctoral thesis focuses on blood borne virus (BBVs) surveillance in Australian prisons. Her research interests include the health of incarcerated people, the uptake in the care cascade for viral hepatitis B/C in the prisons, and BBVs prevalence.
