Professor Bev Lawton (Ngāti Porou) is the founder/director of Te Tātai Hauora o Hine (the National Centre for Women’s Health Research Aotearoa. Bev’s research on women’s and children’s health has led to changes in health policy and practice in Aotearoa, including informing the national policy on cervical screening.

Josh has always had an interest in giving back to the community, being born and raised in Coober Pedy, he has seen the health impacts on Aboriginal people first hand and strives to make a difference by providing initiatives like PocT to community. He is descendant of Yankungtjatjara (Grandmother).

Annie is POCT Coordinator at Ngaanyatjarra Health Service and was involved in the rapid scale-up of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait COVID-19 POCT Program. A PhD candidate and an investigator on the TTANGO2 scale-up program, Annie is a nurse with extensive experience in remote area service delivery.

Andrea is a Senior Project Officer at the Kirby Institute and is involved in POCT and antimicrobial resistance projects for STIs. She has a background in science and pathology, is studying a Master of Global Health, and is motivated to work towards outcomes that are scientifically significant and humanitarian in their impact.

Luke Coffey is RAPID’s Program Manager, a peer-led and community-based STI testing service operated by Queensland Positive People. He has 7 years’ experience in sexual health program design, delivery, evaluation, and research. He holds a BSc majoring in Microbiology and is currently undertaking a master’s degree in Public Health.

Hiep Nguyen, a public health specialist at US.CDC Vietnam, has worked with key population for more than 15 years to support them accessing good HIV and other related services

Dr Joss O’Loan is a General Practitioner at Medeco Inala which was awarded RACGP General Practice of the Year 2018. He is also the co-founder and Director of the not for profit organisation, Kombi Clinic, which is a Hepatitis C outreach model of care delivered from 1975 Yellow Kombi Van.

Rodney has had previous clinical nursing experience in fields of Liver Transplant and Neuroscience research. Rodney is currently working as a clinical research nurse at the Burnet Institute in Melbourne on the QuickStart Study. Rodney is presenting on behalf of Kate Allardice.

Chancy Chavula is the Program Manager for Diagnostics and oversees CHAI’s Diagnostics program in Malawi providing guidance, leadership, program implementation and financial management. He holds his MSC in Emerging Infectious Diseases from University of Cape Town and MPhil of Applied Science (Environmental Health and Sanitation) from Polytechnic University of Malawi.

Lindiwe Nchimunya is a Senior Program Officer for Laboratory Systems at Clinton Health Access Initiative, skilled in building and strengthening laboratory systems including multi disease testing on POC platforms and operational research of novel POC diagnostic technologies.
