Charles has worked in Australia as Programs Manager / Acting EO at Harm Reduction Victoria and, since 2018, as Deputy CEO at NUAA. In his native New Zealand, he spent more than 15 years improving the health and well-being of, and developing effective peer-led services for, people who inject drugs nationwide. His main passion is harm reduction and dedicates his entire professional career to promoting the lives and human rights of people who use and inject illicit drugs, including the championing of low-barrier, accessible drug treatment options.

Dr Louise Causer is a medical epidemiologist and Senior Lecturer at the Kirby Institute. Her research focuses on the implementation and evaluation of infectious diseases point-of-care diagnostics.
Louise currently co-leads the National STI (TTANGO) POCT program and is also involved in the Respiratory Infections and HCV POCT programs.

Jessica Michaels is the Director of the National Policy and Education Division at ASHM. Jessica oversees the implementation of HIV, sexual health, hepatitis C and hepatitis B workforce development, capacity building, resources, strategies and policies. Jessica has worked in the BBV and sexual health sector for over 15 years, managing a variety of government and non-government education, clinical and health promotion programs in Australia, South Africa, the UK, Papua New Guinea and Singapore.
