Biography

Dr Pham received his PhD from Monash University in 2018 and is a senior research fellow at Burnet Institute in Melbourne, Australia. He has significant experience in clinical, public health research and program implementation including development and evaluation of new diagnostic technologies in low-and middle-income countries.

Genevieve Kerr is a PhD student researching bio-engineered materials, including rapid, portable and sensitive tests for detecting malaria in blood. Her recent review in Malaria journal discusses Malaria RDT lessons learned towards COVID RAT test implementation. Her previous research includes studies in Australian spider silk strength towards smart engineered materials.

Mavis Abaya is the techincal officer - Dengue at the National Malaria and other Vector Borne Disease Control Program. She has extensive knowledge of surveillance response in the dengue and another arbovirus arena. Ms Abaya is currently the lead personnel in the development of the National Dengue Strategy Plan.
