I am a quantitative researcher and epidemiologist working on a programme evaluating the impact of public health interventions in the prevention of drug-related deaths and wider drug-related harms in Scotland. My main role is in quantifying the impact of opioid agonist therapy (OAT) on the risk of mortality is those with opioid dependence. In particular, looking at the risk of all-cause mortality and both drug/non-drug related morbidity and mortality (such as suicide, self-harm and non-fatal overdose) in this population. I also investigate how trends have changed over time, and identifying factors associated with these outcomes.

Liam Flannigan is a Public Health Specialty Registrar based in London, England. As a Public Health practitioner, Liam has worked across the NHS and local government to support programmes to improve healthcare access for populations experiencing structural exclusion in London. His research interests are in exploring how healthcare providers conceptualise and deliver care for people who use drugs, using qualitative methods.

Dr Laurence is a Research Fellow in Health Economics in the Bristol Medical School, University of Bristol. Yoko works on a Unitaid funded project that is assessing interventions to prevent hepatitis C among key populations in 10 low- and middle-income countries (LMICs). She is also contributing to the economic evaluation of the blood-borne virus opt-out testing programme in emergency departments in England and the mixed methods evaluation of community pharmacy delivery model for RSV vaccination in over 75s in England. Yoko has extensive experience conducting costings and economic evaluations for various mental health, HIV and tuberculosis projects in LMICs. She completed her PhD at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine in 2017 which assessed the costs, quality of life and operational feasibility of integrating diagnosis and treatment of concurrent tuberculosis and diabetes in Indonesia, Romania and Peru.

Craig Rodgers is a Senior Staff Specialist in Addiction Medicine at St Vincent’s Hospital Sydney, Australia. He has worked as a General Practitioner and Addiction Specialist in the inner suburbs of Sydney since 2000 with roles at the Kirketon Road Centre, East Sydney Doctors and the Sydney Medically Supervised Injecting Centre. He is also a conjoint lecturer with the University of NSW and has contributed to training in the areas of Addiction Medicine, HIV and Sexual health.

Saba Rouhani is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Epidemiology at NYU School of Global Public Health. Prior to receiving her PhD in Global Disease Epidemiology and Control from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, she studied at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (MSc) and the University of Edinburgh (BSc). Dr. Rouhani's research examines how drug criminalization and policing shape overdose and HIV risk among people who use drugs. She is especially interested in how the design and implementation of drug and criminal legal policies hinder or promote health equity. Her research has been published in the American Journal of Preventive Medicine, American Journal of Public Health, International Journal of Drug Policy, Drug and Alcohol Dependence, Drug Science, Policy and Law, among others.

Heejin Choi is a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Minnesota. Her work focuses on simulation modeling and optimization for public health decision-making.

Comfort Amina Ochigbo is a public health leader and prevention specialist with extensive experience managing large-scale donor-funded programs in Nigeria. She serves as the Lead for Prevention and Key Populations at the Institute of Human Virology Nigeria (IHVN), providing strategic oversight for PEPFAR and Global Fund–supported projects across multiple disease areas. In this role, she leads the design and implementation of combination HIV prevention strategies integrating biomedical, behavioral, and structural interventions for key and priority populations using gender-inclusive and human rights–based approaches. She has supported civil society organizations, community partners, and government stakeholders to strengthen capacity for effective and community-led programming. Comfort has also led the piloting and scale-up of innovative prevention and harm-reduction interventions in Nigeria, including new Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) options, Needle and Syringe Programs(NSP), and Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT). Her work advances equitable, stigma-free HIV prevention services for underserved and marginalized populations through collaborative leadership and data-driven programming

Dr Jack Stone is Associate Professor in Mathematical Modelling at the University of Bristol. His research focuses on HIV, viral hepatitis, and substance use, using epidemiological analysis, systematic reviews, and mathematical modelling to inform public health responses for key populations, including people who inject drugs.

Dr. Nevena Rebić is a Postdoctoral Fellow with the Ontario Drug Policy Research Network (ODPRN) at St. Michael's Hospital in Toronto, Ontario. They hold a PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences and a Bachelors of Science in Pharmacy from the University of British Columbia. Their work applies pharmacoepidemiologic research methods to examine and address intersectional inequities in healthcare access, delivery, and policy in Canada.

Nanor is an epidemiologist and research officer based at the Université de Montréal Hospital Research Centre (CRCHUM). Her work focuses on hepatitis C and other substance use-related harms among people who inject drugs, with a particular interest in using observational cohort data to examine understudied risk factors and opportunities for prevention in this population.
