Julia has over 10 years’ experience of working with people at risk of viral hepatitis. Passionate about the rights of and equality for women affected by the criminal justice system, Julia joined the Hepatitis C Trust in 2018 and today is the Women’s National Prison’s Manager.

London Prisons Co-ordinator for The Hepatitis C Trust. Day-to-day role covers the eight male London prison sites (HMP Belmarsh, Thameside, Isis, Brixton, Wandsworth, Wormwood Scrubs, Pentonville, and YOI Feltham). Providing accredited BBV training to staff and inmates, therapeutic support groups, workshops, and education classes. I also provide tailored one-to-one support through clinical treatment, and coordinates a highly successful peer-mentoring programme where inmates take control as project leads in all the hepatitis awareness campaigns, facilitate training, distribute literature and whenever possible join the team for testing events.
