Dr Belinda Njiro is an epidemiologist and research scientist with a medical background. She is currently pursuing a PhD at the University of Bristol, evaluating the impact of stigma and violence on HIV outcomes among people who inject drugs and female sex workers to inform targeted interventions. She works as a principal investigator and implementation research epidemiologist, with a focus on HIV and infectious disease epidemiology among key populations in sub-Saharan Africa. She completed the HIV Implementation Science Training Program in collaboration with the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health partnership and an internship with the World Health Organization in Geneva. Dr Njiro has authored over 50 publications and serves on the editorial boards of PLOS One and Health Promotion International journals.

Dr. Mohammad Karamouzian (he/him) is an infectious disease epidemiologist who is passionate about global equity in health and social justice. His research focuses on addressing health inequities faced by marginalized populations such as female sex workers, people who inject drugs, and those who are incarcerated. He is committed to translating his research findings into effective policies that aim to significantly improve the health outcomes of marginalized populations. He is a scientist with the Centre on Drug Policy Evaluation at St. Michael’s Hospital in Toronto and an Assistant Professor at the University of Toronto. He is also affiliated with the WHO Collaborating Centre for HIV Surveillance (HIVHUB) in the Middle East and North Africa.

Dr. Holly Mathias is Assistant Professor of Family Science in the Department of Human Ecology at the University of Alberta and Research Scientist with the Inner City Health and Wellness Program (Royal Alexandra Hospital). She is also an Early Career Fellow with the Work and Family Researchers Network (Ithica College). Dr. Mathias holds a PhD in Public Health (UofA), MA in Health Promotion (Dalhousie), and BA Honours in Global Development Studies (Queen’s). Dr. Mathias's research explores how contemporary Canadian families experience emerging health and social issues (e.g., toxic drug crisis) through community-based research methods, and critically examines family-oriented policy and program interventions. She enjoys working collaboratively with knowledge users and people with lived/living experience to generate policy- and community-relevant data.

Daniella Silva Oliveira is a nurse specialized in Mental Health and Coordinator of the Psychosocial Rehabilitation at the Mental Health Superintendence of the Rio de Janeiro Municipal Health Department, Brazil.
