Cathy Montgomery is Professor of Psychopharmacology and Health Inequalities, and Head of the Institute for Health Research at Liverpool John Moores University. She serves on the steering groups of the Liverpool Centre for Alcohol Research and the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR)-funded Applied Research Collaboration North West Coast, and is a member of the Independent Scientific Advisory Panel for The Pandemic Institute. From 2006 to 2019, she was Honorary Secretary of the Psychobiology Section of the British Psychological Society Her research focuses on the effects of drugs on cognitive function, including the neurophysiological, neuroendocrine, and neuroelectric consequences of drug use She also collaborates with primary care, the NHS, and community treatment providers to improve treatment pathways and outcomes for people experiencing substance use disorders. Her work focuses on developing and implementing behavioral interventions to support self-management, increase treatment access and engagement, and reduce health inequalities among marginalized populations

Andreas Nilsson received an MSc in Economics from Lund University in 2014 and has worked at the Swedish Institute for Health Economics (IHE) since then, where he currently serves as Senior Research Manager. He has more than 10 years of experience conducting health economic analyses across a range of diseases and perspectives. Over the years, he has conducted research projects in collaboration with various stakeholders including life-science, government, Health Technology Assessment agencies, and Universities. Currently he is also a member of the economic impact work package for an EU-funded project developing an AI-based decision support tool for matching lung cancer treatments to patients, where he is involved in the end-to-end development of both cost-effectiveness and budget impact models. He has also been part of more than 20 peer-reviewed publications and scientific reports
