Details
Infectious diseases physicians experienced in caring for people who use drugs (PWUD) will provide practical, evidence-informed strategies for diagnosis, counselling, and treatment for three infectious syndromes commonly experienced by PWUD: skin and soft tissue infections (including chronic wounds with exposed tendons or bones), sexually transmitted infections and acute HIV. Case-based interactive discussions will be used to facilitate engagement and education.

Biography
Dr. Yang is an Assistant Professor at the University of Pennsylvania. He is board certified in Infectious Diseases and Addiction Medicine and serves as Director of Infectious Diseases – Addiction Medicine Integration. His clinical and academic focuses are to integrate the two specialties to address substance-use-related infectious disease syndemics.
