Details

Convened by INHSU Prisons, this session will follow the format of a rolling series of brief debates, where different ‘controversies’ are discussed between a pair of experts allocated to the affirmative or negative, before switching sides for the next topic. The brief debates cover topical issues pertaining to hepatitis C care in prisons such as prison needle and syringe programs and the feasibility of implementing prison-based hepatitis C services in low-and middle-income countries.
The objective of this parallel session is for experts to engage in lively debates on topics which may have diverse opinions. Using this format, the audience will witness two experts passionately discuss controversial topics/complex issues in prison health care, by allowing space for opposing viewpoints on relevant topics.
