George Papatheodoridis is Professor in Medicine-Gastroenterology at Athens Medical School and Director of Gastroenterology Department at “Laiko” Hospital, Athens, Greece. He was member of EASL Scientific Committee/Governing Board, recipient of EASL Recognition Award 2023, co-ordinator (2011-2012) and panelist (2016-2017) of EASL HBV Guidelines and panelist of EASL HDV Guidelines (2022-2023).

Mina Psichogiou is a Professor of Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases at the First Department of Medicine, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Greece. The Infectious Diseases Department where she works takes care of more than 500 people with HIV (PWH) and is one of the most involved HIV clinics with several interventions being implemented as a response to the recent HIV epidemic among people who inject drugs (PWID) in Athens, Greece. She was also the principal investigator of a study which explored the feasibility and impact of a public health system Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) intervention in the recently emerging HIV epidemic in Athens. This year, she is the principal investigator of a program “Rapid ART initiation with BIC/FTC/TAF in HIV-PWID: a pilot study of an integrated care model”.

Josh Barocas is an Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of Colorado School of Medicine, an infectious diseases physician, PI of The Missing US Lab Project, and Director of the Social Determinants of Health and Disparities Modeling Unit. He leads an interdisciplinary research program that is specifically aimed at the goal of improving health outcomes for marginalized populations who are at high risk for overdose, and infectious diseases such as HIV, hepatitis C virus, and injection-related bacterial infections. His research, which uses a combination of clinical epidemiology, health economics, simulation modeling, and cost-effectiveness, informs clinical decision making and health policy specifically to improve the lives people who use drugs. He has received funding from the National Institutes on Drug Abuse, including the prestigious Avenir Award. He serves as an Associate Editor for the International Journal of Drug Policy. He has published extensively in high impact journals including New England Journal of Medicine, JAMA, Annals of Internal Medicine, and Lancet Public Health.
