Caitlin is a senior research officer at the Burnet Institute. She was awarded her PhD in 2022 from the University of Melbourne. She is currently part of Burnet's implementation science working group. She has experience coordinating research with young people and people who inject drugs.

Biography

Angela McBride is a woman who uses drugs and the Executive Director for the South African Network of People who Use Drugs (SANPUD). Angela has worked in the field of harm reduction for over 7 years, with lived experience working and participating in abstinence programs and centres while studying at the University of Pretoria, prior to being introduced to harm reduction as an intervention to mitigate the harms experienced by people who use drugs.

Dr Andrew Scheibe is a medical doctor who works in key population programmes and policy in South Africa and the region. His work focuses on infectious diseases, substance use and harm reduction. He is a technical advisor for TB HIV Care and a researcher at the University of Pretoria.
