Judy Chang Executive Director of the International Network of People who Use Drugs (INPUD). Judy has worked in the HIV and community-based health and development field for thirteen years. She brings 20 years of lived experience as a woman who uses drugs and a client of harm reduction services to her role. Prior to 2015, her primary area of focus was on community health before moving to harm reduction and drug policy advocacy. During the course of her work, she has worked in various contexts, such as India, China and Thailand. Judy holds a Master’s in International Development and a Bachelor of Arts in Writing and Contemporary Cultures

Sione Crawford has been working in community-based organisations focused on hepatitis C prevention, testing and treatment for marginalised populations – especially people who inject drugs – for many years. He has lived experience related to this work and has spoken, written and presented in a variety of forums, including INHSU conferences, which he has been attending since the second meeting. He has had leadership positions in a number of peer-based organisations. Sione is currently the CEO of Harm Reduction Victoria: the organisation representing people who use drugs in Victoria, Australia. HRVic works with their community to ensure access to health care and human rights for people who use drugs.

Adelina is an epidemiologist and her research is focused on the prevention of HCV, HIV and other drug-related harms among people who inject drugs. She is currently a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Bristol, where she investigates strategies for reducing HCV transmission in different risk groups using epidemic modelling.

Dr. Barocas is an Associate Professor of Medicine and infectious diseases physician at the University of Colorado School of Medicine. He completed his residency at the University of Wisconsin and his ID fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. He conducts research that is aimed at improving health outcomes for vulnerable populations at the intersection of infectious diseases and substance use disorders.

Mia Biondi is a primary care nurse practitioner, PhD-prepared in Microbiology. She has focused practices in viral hepatitis and is an NP-Researcher at the Viral Hepatitis Care Network, Toronto Centre for Liver Disease. Mia teaches in the Ontario NP training program and trains non-specialists in the management of hepatitis C.
