Jason Doran holds a MSc Control of Infectious Diseases from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (LSHTM). Currently, he is the Lead Analyst on Substance Misuse and Sexual Health for the Local Government in London (Camden and Islington Public Health)

Marie Dos Santos is a sociologist. Her research interests are harm reduction policies and drug users' experiential knowledge. She is interested in community-based participatory researches and she conducts qualitative research (semi-structured, biographical approach and ethnografic study).

Zoe Duncan is a first year PhD student at Monash University, within the school of Rural Health. Prior to this, she completed a Bachelor of Psychological Sciences (Honours) degree. Her current PhD thesis focuses on addressing the mental health needs of people that primarily smoke methamphetamines, in a community recruited-cohort.

In my role within the infections and drug use team at Public Health England I project manage the annual Unlinked Anonymous Monitoring Survey of People Who Inject Drugs and support the National Infection Service's response to outbreaks among this group.

MR.EGHAGHE JAMES OSAMUDIA is a Harm Reduction advocate contributing to improve effective community engagement of PWIDs infected and affected by HIV and viral Hepatitis in Nigeria & West-Africa. In the last six years he has championed inclusivity of PWIDs as an active voice in Nigeria’s HIV/Hepatitis Prevention and Treatment agenda.

Juan Fernandez Ochoa is Campaigns and Communications Officer at IDPC. He leads on the development of the Support. Don't Punish campaign and works closely with the Head of Research and Communications in maintaining and expanding the organisation's communication channels.

Catherine Gannon is a graduate of Colby College and works as a research assistant for the DC Partnership for HIV/AIDS Progress Clinical Research Program and as a research fellow at the National Institutes of Health.

She coordinates an international research program on harm reduction policies focusing on the impact of criminalisation on drug user's trajectories and their access to health services.

Dr Tina Lam is a Research Fellow at the Monash Addiction Research Centre with interests in opioid-related harms and alcohol policy. Dr Lam was the first to analyse and report on a recent Australian trend of increasing heroin-related harm and a plateauing of harms relating to pharmaceutical opioids.

Dr Sarah Larney is based at the Centre de Recherche du CHUM; her research focuses on the epidemiology of drug- and injecting-related harms, including hepatitis C, premature mortality and harms due to the criminal legal system.

Dr Leonard is an Associate Professor in the School of Epidemiology and Public Health at the University of Ottawa where she founded and currently directs the HIV and HCV Prevention Research Team. A social scientist and professional social worker, Dr Leonard conducts community-based research to effect policy and programme change.

Caroline Longpré is a professor in the Department of Nursing Sciences at the University of Quebec in Outaouais. She collaborates with the Centre Sida Amité, which uses a harm reduction approach for people who use drugs. She’s interested in the organization of health services to meet the needs of populations.

NKIIRI Anthony Kaimenyi is a 45 years old male PWUD who used heroin for 20 years and started OST in 2017 at Ngara Health Centre in Nairobi. He is finishing his treatment in May 2020. Meanwhile he is a pro-active paralegal and advocate of the rights of PWUDs.

My name is Kimberlie Paul Boulanger, I’m a first-year medical student at l’Université de Montréal. The PUDI project is the first research one that I was involved in.

Susanna Rhodes completed this research study with Dr. Rudolph as part of her final fieldwork project for an MPH in Epidemiology. Susanna has worked for several harm reduction agencies within the United States and is particularly interested in the health of women who use drugs.

Ms Rose, MBA is a population health researcher with the Norton Infectious Diseases Institute. Her areas of interest are HIV, viral hepatitis, STIs, and infections associated with injection drug use. She also does extensive policy work in these areas. Prior to relocating to Kentucky, she worked in Sub-Saharan Africa.

Sotirios Roussos is a PhD Candidate in the Department of Hygiene, Epidemiology and Medical Statistics of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. His main research interest is HCV and HIV among people who inject drugs

Carli Salvati has spent the last several years working in harm reduction research with young people who use opioids. She received her Masters of Science in Social work from Columbia University School of Social work in 2017.

Tom is focused on the relationship between child maltreatment, mental disorders, opioid use and dependence during his Master of Research candidature at the National Drug & Alcohol Research Centre, UNSW Sydney.

Isabelle Savard is a nurse practitioner and an assistant professor in Nursing at UQO. She holds Master's degrees in Nursing and in Public Health, and is currently a PhD student in Nursing at McGill University. She continues her clinical practice at Centre Sida Amitié with people in vulnerable situations.

Anne Loarec, trained as Medical Doctor, has been working for 16 years for MSF. In 2018, graduated with a epidemiology Master, AL coordinated the research of a UNITAID-MSF project on HCV access in LMIC. Since 2019, AL coordinate M&E for HIV, tuberculosis, viral hepatitis and PWUD projects in Maputo.

Ed is Research Coordinator at the Kirketon Road Centre, Kings Cross. His research work and clinical experience are in the harm minimisation and drug and alcohol sector. His research work largely focusses on drug-related issues in youth and marginalised populations and spans prevention, harm reduction, and evaluation.

Jasmine Stevens is currently completing a research post baccalaureate with the NIH. She has an interest in health disparities affecting those in urban settings. Currently, she is a part of a clinical team focused on implementation research in the care of patients with infectious diseases and substance use disorders.

Dr Sutherland is a Research Fellow at the National Drug and Alcohol Research Centre, UNSW Sydney. She has over 10 years’ experience working on a range of research projects, focusing on illicit drug surveillance and harm reduction, and is currently the Acting Program Lead for Drug Trends.

Jill Tarasuk is an epidemiologist who works on the Tracks Surveillance Team that coordinates the Tracks Survey of the determinants of HIV and hepatitis C among people who inject drugs in Canada at the Centre for Communicable Diseases and Infection Control, Public Health Agency of Canada.

Nicholas Thomson works across the intersection of security and health with a focus on substance use, infectious disease and the role of security sector agencies in supporting or decreasing health outcomes for people who use drugs

A BMedSc/MD candidate with an interest in harm reduction and equity. He is active in harm reduction with a publication in the MJA on naloxone utilisation following reclassifcation, and is working on a review to examine substance use and naloxone. He plans to pursue a PhD in substance-related infectious diseases.

Dr.Valencia is medical coordinator of a Mobile harm reduction unit in Madrid (Spain) attending PWID with diseases related to injection drug use. He is involved in researches regarding to bacterial and viral infections occurring in PWID and other vulnerable groups. In addition, he works in the Infanta Leonor Hospital (Madrid).

Shelley has a background in nursing. She is currently employed as a Research Officer at the Burnet Institute, where she works across a range of projects, including in the areas of justice health, international development, and alcohol and other drugs. Shelley is passionate about human rights and social justice issues.

Alice Wheeler is a PhD Candidate within the Kirby Institute at The University of New South Wales in Sydney, Australia. Alice's work focuses on the epidemiology of injecting-related injury and disease among people who inject drugs.

Dr. April Young is an Associate Professor in the Department of Epidemiology and Faculty Associate with the Center on Drug and Alcohol Research. She has been conducting research on HCV and substance use for more than ten years and has authored/co-authored more than 70 publications, primarily on drug-related harms.
