Biography

Dr Stone is a Senior Research Associate in Health Infectious Disease Mathematical Modelling at the University of Bristol. A key focus of his research is the use of systematic reviews, epidemiological analyses and infectious disease modelling to evaluate the impact of social-structural variables on drug use outcomes.

Dr Timothy Broady is a Research Fellow at the Centre for Social Research in Health. His current research interests include addressing stigma and discrimination amongst communities affected by blood-borne viruses, HIV prevention, and the lived experiences of marginalised groups within society.

Jon Magnus Johannesson graduated 2017 from the University of Iceland School of Medicine and finished a rotating internship in 2018. He is currently a resident in internal medicine at Landspitali University Hospital in Reykjavik, Iceland. His research interests are in infectious diseases and correlated socioeconomic factors.

Adelina is an epidemiologist with experience in research applicable to the study of drug use and drug-related harms, particularly HCV, and access to healthcare/prevention services for PWID. She is currently a postdoctoral research fellow at the University of Bristol pursuing infectious disease modelling work focusing on HCV in key populations.

Biography

Maggie Beiser is an adult nurse practitioner at Boston Health Care for the Homeless Program. In 2014 she developed and implemented a primary care-based hepatitis C treatment program, and administers that program as its Director. In addition to clinical care, she participates in HCV treatment advocacy, policy planning and research.

Michael is a PhD student at the Burnet Institute and Monash University’s School of Public Health and Preventative Medicine. Using prospective cohort data, Michael’s PhD investigates the impact of medication for opioid use disorder on post-release substance use, health and health service utilisation.
