Joanne Carson (BSc MPH) is a PhD candidate and research assistant at the Kirby Institute UNSW Sydney.

Madeleine Caven is a postgraduate medical student at the University of St Andrews and University of Dundee. Madeleine has a background in Psychology and Hepatitis C research, with interests in healthcare accessibility, public health research, and realistic medicine.

Brian Conway is an infectious diseases physician specializing in the design and evaluation of novel models of care for the treatment of HCV infection in vulnerable populations. He has collaborated with researchers on national and international levels on clinical trials and published extensively on his real-life experiences in this field.

Dr. Kattakuzhy is an Assistant Professor at the Institute of Human Virology at the University of Maryland School of Medicine in Baltimore. She serves as the Co-Director of the Research Initiative on Infectious Diseases in Substance Use. Her research utilizes implementation science to improve care in marginalized populations.

Amy K. McEwan is a second year PhD student at Glasgow Caledonian University in Scotland. Her PhD topic focuses on Hepatitis C reinfection amongst people who inject drugs in the direct-acting antiviral era.

Håvard Midgard is a specialist in gastroenterology and postdoctoral researcher at Oslo University Hospital and Akershus University Hospital. His research interests include HCV epidemiology, models of care, and general hepatology. He is a founding member of the Norwegian Center for HCV elimination and a former INHSU board member.

Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Boston Medical Center, focusing on addiction medicine. Her research focuses on marginalized populations in global health, behavioral health, and epidemiology. As a doctoral student, she was principal investigator of a study conducted in partnership with the MOH in Kenya to assess HCV reinfection among PWID.

Postdoc Researcher at the Clinical Virology and New Diagnostic Tools Group led by Elisa Martró. Their activity focuses on improving the diagnosis of active HCV and HBV infection among key populations at risk of infection, through the design and implementation of new assays and testing algorithms in the community.

Marion Selfridge is a research coordinator, focusing on HIV and Hepatitis C treatment at the Cool Aid Community Health Centre and post-doctoral fellow at UVic’s CISUR. Her PhD dissertation research focused on street-involved youths’ use of social media to deal with grief and loss. She teaches dance to stay sane.

Alan Yeung is a research fellow in the blood borne viruses research group at Glasgow Caledonian University and a healthcare scientist at Public Health Scotland. Alan’s research areas include hepatitis C, HIV PrEP, people who inject drugs, and novel psychoactive substances.
