I am the Executive Director of APDES in charge of advocacy and capacity building. I advocate for: a) the recognition of Peer Work, b) Civil Society/State dialogues c) HR 100% funding in Portugal. Chair of the "1st Conference on Drug Policy in the PALOP" (Cape Verde) and Host of HRI19 Conference (Porto); member of the SC of the Correlation HRN. Leading the APDES engagement in the creation of the Portuguese Drug Users’ Union (CASO).

Jennifer Broad is a Community Support Worker with the Toronto Community Hep C Program where she co-facilitates treatment support groups and co-coordinates a research project evaluating peer-delivered point-of-care antibody outreach HCV testing. Jennifer has published and presented on the involvement of people with lived experience in HCV care both nationally and internationally.

Catherine Hankins MD PhD FRCPC CM is Professor of Public and Population Health, McGill University. She co-founded CACTUS-Montreal in 1989 and received the International Harm Reduction Association’s 1994 National Rolleston Award for Harm Reduction. She was Chief Scientific Adviser to UNAIDS (2002-2012), leading its scientific knowledge translation team. She is Scientific Chair and Chair, Organising Committee of Africa’s annual INTEREST conference http://interestconference.org/.
