Biography
Dheeraj Nurani Venkatachalam is a PhD candidate at the University of Melbourne with a background in microbiology. His work focuses on diagnostics for sexually transmitted infections, including development of CRISPR-based point-of-care tests for rapid, accurate detection and improving clinical management of genital ulcerative diseases.

Biography
Lenka is a Senior Research Fellow at MSHC, Monash University. As Deputy Head and lead epidemiologist in the Genital Microbiota and Mycoplasma group, she integrates epidemiological, microbiological and clinical research to improve sexual and reproductive health outcomes at the individual and population level, with impacts on guidelines and clinical practice.

Ella is a PhD student at the Frazer Institute, the University of Queensland. For the past two years as an honours student, then research assistant, she has investigated flow cytometry and RNA sequencing as paths towards developing novel viability diagnostics under the guidance of Drs Emma Sweeney and Emily Bryan.
