The Sydney Children’s Hospital HIV Service is proud to be partnering with ASHM again to deliver two sessions dedicated to child health at the ASHM HIV&AIDS / ASRH Conference 2026! The Syphilis and Sexual Health Session will focus on congenital syphilis response models and the role of community health organisations, as well as sexual and reproductive health for vulnerable adolescents and young adults.

He is a member of the WA Health Congenital Syphilis Prevention Working Group, and Boorloo Public Health Syphilis in Pregnancy Working Group.

Dr James Fowler is a Research Fellow at the Poche Centre for Indigenous Health, University of Queensland and School of Health, Psychological, and Medical Sciences at The University of Southern Queensland. Their work uses mixed-methods and community-based participatory approaches to work alongside communities to address health inequities.
