This session will provide an update on issues relating to HIV co-infections with Hepatitis B, TuberculosisB and Cryptococcus.
To provide an update on recent advances in Hepatitis B, Tuberculosis, and Cryptococcosis management in the HIV context.

Kasha completed a PhD looking at liver disease pathogenesis in HIV-hepatitis B with the Lewin lab in collaboration with the Maini lab in the UK. She is a clinician at RMH and Peninsula health with ongoing interests in HIV coinfections including hepatitis B and tuberculosis.

Dr Philipp du Cros is a Principal Research Fellow at the Burnet Institute, and infectious diseases physician at Monash Health and leads the WHO TB/ drug-resistant Pacific regional TB advice desk. His research focuses on drug-resistant TB treatment, TB elimination strategies and treatment support.

Christina is an infectious disesase physician at the Alfred Hospital, Melbourne and a clinical trialist specialising in early phase clinical trials and vaccine studies. She co-led the 2024 ASM/ECMM/ISHAM Global Guideline for the Diagnosis and Management of Cryptococcosis.
