Biography

Kevin Dong has been a Health Promotion Officer at HIV and Related Programs, Western Sydney Local Health District for 7 years. He develops, implements and evaluates blood-borne viruses and sexual health initiatives. He is also a committed community advocate, collaborating with various cultural, LGBTIQ+ and other advocacy groups.

Biography

Dr Brian Sengstock is an experienced teaching and research academic. Brian has researched and published in the area of LGBTQ+ health for over 20 years, and is currently leading a NHMRC Ideas Grant project investigating access to PrEP for young gay, bisexual and other men who have sex with men.

Ben Hui is a mathematical modeller at Kirby Institute, UNSW Sydney. His works include the development of models that describe the impact of interventions on the spread of infections. His most recent work investigates the potential effect of introducing gonorrhoea vaccine on prevalence among men who have sex with men.

Rochelle Avasalu is Manager of the NSW STI Programs Unit. She has worked in sexual health for over 10 years. Prior to joining NSW Health Rochelle worked with a range of NGOs working with at-risk communities to improve access to services, improve health outcomes and increase connection to community.
