The AUSLARC project is a 2.5-year national project by Sexual and Reproductive Health Australia (SRHA) in partnership with The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP). This initiative received grant funding from the Australian Government.
The project provides, fully funded training in LARC, specifically Implanon and IUDs, to health professionals across Australia, with the aim of reducing financial barriers to undertaken training.
Eligible health professionals include GPs, Nurse practitioners, Registered nurses and Midwives.
Training will be delivered by online and in-person theory-based education, online simulated practice and supervised clinical placements at SRHA Sexual & Reproductive Health clinics and mobile outreach clinics in regional, rural and remote locations.

Daile Kelleher CF is the CEO of SRHA, specialising in sexual and reproductive health policy, advocacy, and domestic and family violence. She is a strong advocate for culturally safe, intersectional healthcare services delivered close to people’s communities and places great importance on listening to the voices of those with lived experience. Daile holds leadership roles with the Australian Sexual and Reproductive Health Alliance, the Australian Breastfeeding Association, and the Australian Women’s Health Alliance, and is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Community Directors.

Kat Bennett leads the AUSLARC Project at SRHA, coordinating the national initiative to expand access to long-acting reversible contraception training for health professionals. She oversees project design, delivery and evaluation in partnership with family planning organisations across Australia and the RACGP. Kat has a background in project management and grassroots advocacy across community health, the not-for-profit sector, and local government.
