Dr. Francesco Simonetti is an Assistant Professor at Johns Hopkins University. His translational research combines clinical insight, molecular virology, and immunology to investigate HIV persistence. A recipient of the NIH Director’s Early Independence Award, he aims to improve outcomes for people living with HIV through novel diagnostics and cure strategies

Mr. Pio Smith is the Asia-Pacific Regional Director for UNFPA, the United Nations sexual and reproductive health and rights agency. Appointed in October 2023, he leads UNFPA’s work across 36 countries in the world’s most populous and diverse region, advancing health, rights, and gender equality, while addressing population megatrends such as ageing, migration and demographic resilience.

Holley Skene is a passionate leader in sexual and reproductive health in South Australia with qualifications in psychology and public health, working in both government and non-government sexual health roles for over 15 years. As CEO of SHINE SA, Holley advocates for evidence-based, LGBTIQA+ inclusive comprehensive relationships and sexual health education.

Barbara Baird works in Women's & Gender Studies at Flinders University, an institution built on the unceded land of Kaurna people. She researches C20th and C21st histories of sexuality and reproduction in Australia. In 2024 she was made a Member of the Order of Australia for her abortion activism.

Jenny is a public health professional with experience in research and programs on maternal, sexual and reproductive health for marginalised women and girls in Australia and the Asia-Pacific. She has worked with the Burnet Institute, the Multicultural Centre for Women’s Health, and the Victorian State Government. Jenny serves as a Youth Board Director for Sexual and Reproductive Health Australia and on IPPF's Committee for Strategy, Investment, and Policy. She is currently based in Mongolia with the International Organization for Migration through the Australian Volunteers Program. Jenny champions social justice, ensuring marginalised and youth voices shape public health decision-making.

Dr Wright is a clinician and researcher in HIV medicine. Her research leadership lies in the areas of HIV dementia, early antiretroviral therapy, HIV cure and pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP). Dr Wright is a Past President of ASHM and in 2021 Dr Wright was awarded an Order of Australia for her work in HIV Medicine and Research.

Dean Murphy is a Research Fellow at Alfred Hospital and Monash University, as well as Kirby Institute, UNSW, working on projects related to COVID-19 vaccine acceptability HIV pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP).
